Accident on I-294 S

In heavy traffic I estimate as moving about 70-75 mph, I was driving in far left lane when a semi-truck to my right started veering into my lane a bit and braking. Just then a blue car that was careening across the front of the truck emerged suddenly in front of me, either sideways or backwards with tires smoking. It was moving right to left, and I very narrowly missed it as it drifted by, crashing into the left cement partitions beside/behind me. I glanced in my rear view mirror and saw that it thankfully did not bounce back into traffic. My only damage was a broken windshield, perhaps from a piece of flying debris. It feels like a miracle to have dodged far worse carnage. I hope and pray nobody was injured. I have no idea how the accident began. I estimate it occurred about 2.75 miles north of the Hinsdale Oasis exit > reply
