Construction Beginning Monday April 22 the Northbound and Southbound directions of US 29/70 will be reduced to one lane until approximately November 2026 while Smith Rowe LLC constructs a new bridge over Norfolk Southern railroad.  The single lane configuration will begin just south of Old Thomasville Rd at the Davidson / Randolph County line and extend approximately 1000 feet for both directions of travel.
