Construction As part of the Winston-Salem Northern Beltway construction, a portion of Oak Grove Church Road will be permanently closed beginning Monday, February 20, 2023. The closed portion is located between Kernersville Road and Orvil Lane. Please click the link for visual depiction of the closure limits and alternate routes. The closure is required in order to construct the detour needed for the future Kernersville Road bridge construction, which will eliminate the intersection of Kernersville Road/Old Winston Road/Oak Garden Church Road. (Kernersville Road will remain open to traffic.) Preparation work will take place over the next six weeks and construction of the detour Road is scheduled for April.
