Charli: we were driving by and going southbound and the wreCk is in the north bound lane. we saw some damage to one of the semis and there is a red club cab truck it was smashed and another car was smashed off the road. It looked like there was another semi involved but its not stated. The traffic was at least 15 miles long behind it. We dont know anything else but if there were no fatalities that would be a miracle! Thinking of everyone that was involved! 9 years ago > REPLY

AP: MrsW, WTH are you talking about? Ambulances (including air ambulances) do not transport bodies. Now, does anyone have any actual information to share? 9 years ago > REPLY
Wp: A tanker truck rear ended a chevy pick up and a mayflower trailer. The mayflower was transporting beer. The tanker driver was transported by helicopter. I don't know how many in chevy but no one could have survived. 9 years ago > REPLY

D. Driver: Mrs. W There were not 7 fatalities. The 18 wheeler driver was texting & dropped his phone and the wreck happened when he attempted to retrieve it. The driver was lifeflighted in very critical condition. Two people in the red Ford were pronounced dead at the scene. One other person was lifeflighted and another by ambulance. It was one of the most disturbing accidents I have ever been involved in. 9 years ago > REPLY
Leon Co. Man: I have property 6 miles north of the accident sight. I actually took a pic of the helicopter from my porch 2 minutes before it landed. I have a fire and ems scanner. 2 dead at scene, 1 by bird, 2 by ground ambulance. 9 years ago > REPLY

from The Woodlands: We were close behind the accident, did not see it though. A couple of other semis stopped side by side and blocked northbound traffic. We were very near a crossover to southbound, and a lot of cars were going by on the left shoulder and crossing over. We saw empty road ahead, except with a line of cars driving back south towards us. Eventually we also went by the semis and crossed over to the southbound lanes. Guess that was okay. Everyone was being courteous and driving carefully. We then used Hwy 75 up to Buffalo, very little traffic on it. We were traveling to Palestine. 8 years ago > REPLY
